In this lab you will learn the basics of the Oracle AI Data Platform Workbench (AIDP Workbench) by walking through a use case creating a medallion architecture using supplier data. You will provision an AI Data Platform Workbench (AIDP Workbench), create a catalog, and populate it with data. Then you will create a workspace and compute cluster. Using these you will process your data in the AIDP Workbench notebook interface. While processing the data you will create tables in your catalog to hold the bronze, silver, and gold levels of your medallion architecture. You will leverage models from the OCI Generative AI service to aid in transforming and enriching your data. Then you will create a series of workflows to run your data processing tasks on a schedule. Along the way you will learn about RBAC AIDP Workbench. Then you will connect OAC to your AIDP to visualize your gold tier data. Finally, you will connect your Fusion AI Data Platform (Fusion AIDP) instance to the AIDP Workbench so that you can bring your data assets from Fusion AIDP into AIDP Workbench for further use.

  • Lab 1: Create AIDP Workbench Instance and populate catalog with data
  • Lab 2: Create Workspace, compute cluster, and develop notebooks to create medallion architecture
  • Lab 3: Create Workflows to schedule medallion architecture notebooks
  • Lab 4: Create connector in OAC to your AIDP Workbench data
  • Lab 5: Create connector in FAIDP to connect data to AIDP Workbench
  • Familiarity with the OCI console is preferable
  • Familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud is preferable but not required
  • Familiarity with Fusion AI Data Platform is preferable but not required.
