About This Workshop
Enterprises increasingly demand natural-language interfaces, but traditional LLM-based "chatbots" often introduce unacceptable risks regarding accuracy, predictability, and data security. Oracle Trusted Answer Search addresses these challenges by providing a purpose-built "language-to-report" mapping system.
In this workshop, you will go hands-on with the primary components of the platform. You will start by deploying the core APEX-based administration and portal tools on the Oracle AI Database 26ai, leveraging its native AI Vector Search capabilities to match user queries to vetted business reports.
You will then step into the role of a Search Admin to curate the user experience. You will learn how to define Search Targets associated with specific match documents (JSON), ensuring that your application responds with deterministic actions—like opening a precise URL—rather than generated (and potentially hallucinatory) text. The lab also covers advanced configuration, such as parameter extraction, which allows your search interface to identify specific values like "checking account" or "last Monday" to automatically filter the reports presented to the user.
Finally, you will explore the developer experience by integrating the provided Javascript widget into a web application and the admin workflow for continuous improvement. You will learn how to use query history and user feedback (upvotes/downvotes) to refine search accuracy and use built-in regression analysis to safely manage changes to your search domain. By the end of this lab, you will have a fully functional, secure, and highly accurate natural-language search service.
