About This Workshop
As a developer or administrator, you may want to integrate the Oracle Data Safe service with your applications or other Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services. In this workshop, we walk you through some examples of how to work with the Oracle Data Safe API, how to use the Oracle Data Safe command line interface in Cloud Shell, and how to create Oracle Data Safe events.

  • Lab 1 - Register an Autonomous Database with Oracle Data Safe
  • Lab 2 - Download the latest security assessment by using the Oracle Data Safe CLI
  • Lab 3 - Copy audit data to object storage using the Oracle Data Safe REST API
  • Lab 4 - Schedule the copying of audit data to object storage using the Oracle Data Safe REST API
  • Lab 5 - Get notified about security drift on your target database by setting up notifications in Oracle Data Safe
  • Familiarity with Oracle Database and Java is desirable, but not required
  • Some understanding of cloud and database terms is helpful
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is helpful
