What's an AI Agent?
Most chatbots explain how to do things. Ask about a loan status and you get a tutorial. Agents are different. They act. Ask an agent the same question and it queries the database and tells you the answer.

The Problem
Seer Equity clients are frustrated. When they ask "What's my loan status?", the chatbot tells them how to log in and check. They don't want instructions. They want their status.

What You Will Build
Using Oracle's Select AI Agent framework, you will build an agent that connects to a loan database and answers questions with real data. Questions like:
"What is the status of LOAN-12345?" becomes "Approved, $45,000 personal loan for Alex Chen"
"Which applications are pending?" returns actual results from the database

You'll build the four components (tools, agents, tasks, and teams) and see the execution history proving the agent queried real data. This is Part 1. Future labs tackle memory, semantic search (searching your data by description), and safety controls. Your key to being amazing starts here, with an agent that acts instead of explains. No sophisticated ML or AI experience required. Just SQL and a little curiosity.
