About This Workshop
Oracle Base Database Service on Oracle Database@Azure provides a streamlined way to run single‑instance Oracle Databases supporting the full range of Oracle Database editions. It delivers a fully managed Oracle Database service running on OCI‑managed Exadata infrastructure located inside Azure datacenters. This gives you high performance, low‑latency connectivity to Azure applications, and seamless integration with Azure identity, networking, monitoring, and billing. The service maintains full Oracle Database feature compatibility, supports CDB/PDB architectures, and allows customers to use BYOL or ULA licenses while managing most lifecycle operations through the Azure portal, with select database tasks handled in the OCI console.

- Lift‑and‑shift Oracle workloads to Azure with minimal changes, retaining full Oracle Database feature sets and performance.
- Run mission‑critical OLTP and analytics workloads directly within Azure.
- Integrate Oracle databases with Azure services
- Simplify operations with unified management across Azure and OCI, including lifecycle management, patching, and monitoring.
- Use existing Oracle licenses (BYOL or ULA) while consuming the service through Azure billing.
