About This Workshop
Oracle Autonomous AI Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure on Oracle AI Database@AWS combines Oracle’s fully autonomous database platform with the performance and isolation of dedicated Exadata infrastructure, deployed natively within AWS environments. The service allows enterprises to run Oracle Autonomous AI Database workloads on OCI infrastructure colocated inside AWS data centers, delivering low-latency integration with AWS services while maintaining full Oracle Database compatibility and Exadata performance. The platform provides a private, single-tenant database cloud with dedicated compute, storage, networking, and Exadata resources for enhanced security, governance, and predictable performance. Oracle automates critical database lifecycle operations—including provisioning, patching, tuning, scaling, backups, and security—reducing administrative overhead while supporting mission-critical OLTP, analytics, AI, and mixed workloads. Through Oracle AI Database@AWS, organizations can modernize Oracle RAC and Exadata workloads with minimal application changes, while leveraging AWS-native services such as Amazon Bedrock, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and EC2. The offering also supports Oracle Database 23ai and AI Vector Search capabilities for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and enterprise AI applications.
Key benefits include:
• Dedicated Exadata performance with RDMA networking and high availability
• Autonomous operations that eliminate routine DBA tasks
• Integrated AI and vector search capabilities
• Native AWS console and marketplace integration
• Zero-ETL data integration between Oracle and AWS analytics services
• Simplified migration using Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM)
