In this lab you will learn to use Transparent Sensitive Data Protection (TSDP) to record data classification and enforce redaction and audit policies uniformly for data with a given classification. TSDP is an included feature of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition .

This lab is included in the DB Security Basics lab. If you have completed that lab, then there is no need to do this one.

Workshop Info

15 minutes
  • Define a sensitive data type in TSDP
  • Associate columns in the database schema with the sensitive data type
  • Apply a partial redaction TSDP policy to the sensitive data type
  • Enable the TSPD policy and verify redaction of the sensitive data
  • Familiarity with Database is desireable, but not required
  • Some understanding of cloud and database terms is helpful
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastucture (OCI) is helpful
  • You should have already completed DB Security - Database Security Assessment Tool or the DB Security Basics lab
  • You should have already completed DB Security - Unified Audit or the DB Security Basics lab
