In this learning path, you'll learn how Oracle’s tools and solutions make application development life cycle faster and predictable for both developers and operations using Oracle Developer Cloud Service. Also learn how Oracle Management Cloud enables continuous monitoring and log analytics to provide predictable high performance in production environments.

To get the most out of this material you should be:

• Familiar with software development life cycle
• Familiar with at least one programming language, such as Java
• Familiar with an IDE, such as Eclipse

This module introduces DevOps, its key terminologies and concepts, and the building blocks. It also discusses a case study of implementing DevOps in a commercial enterprise.

You will learn how to:

• Define DevOps
• Summarize the DevOps mindset
• Explain the forces that motivated the birth of DevOps
• Summarize the steps in DevOps life cycle

In this module, you will learn about Test Driven Development (TDD). You will use example scenarios to implement Test Driven Development using Python and Java. You will also learn how TDD produces better code.

You will learn how to:

In this module, you'll learn the following:

• Oracle Developer Cloud Service and projects - overview
• Agile concepts and understand the vocabulary associated with Agile
• How Agile development can be done in Oracle Developer Cloud Service
• Two project management tools - Maven and Git
• How Git and Maven are used in Oracle Developer Cloud Service

In this module you'll learn how you can check in source code updates from all developers into a shared repository, usually several times a day, and then run an automated build for each check in. You'll see how to deploy of any version of the software to any environment, in a single click, on demand using Oracle Developer Cloud Service.

You will learn to:

• Describe Continuous Integration (CI)
• Explain the need for CI
• Explain the advantages of using CI
• Create and maintain a CI solution in Oracle Developer Cloud Service
• Describe Continuous Delivery (CD) and explain how it differs from Continuous Integration (CI)

In this module, you'll learn the benefits of continuous monitoring and analytics in a DevOps environment.

You'll also see how you can use Oracle Management Cloud features to perform monitoring, analytics and proactive diagnostics.
