This learning path describes how to use the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Joint Venture Management system to manage the operations of a joint venture. This process includes the accurate calculation and distribution of expenses, revenue, and overhead to the partners based on their division of interest in the joint venture.

In this learning path, you will:

•  Set up all the components required to create a joint venture in the system.
•  Manage the operational status of the business units in a joint venture and the joint venture itself.
•  Calculate and process the overhead for a joint venture.
•  Allocate indirect costs incurred by the managing partner to the joint venture business units and create journal entries for the allocated amounts.
•  Create and manage cash calls for joint venture partners.
•  Load the revenue, expense, and overhead transactions for the joint venture into the system, assign division of interest (DOI) to the transactions, and manage the transactions prior to distributing them to the partners.
• Distribute the expenses, revenue, and overhead to the partners based on each partner's share.
• Draw on cash calls for expenses and costs, create invoices to bill expenses and costs that are not covered by cash calls, and create vouchers to pay each partner's share of the joint venture revenue. Record the share for the managing business unit or other inside partners.
