Understand how to scale and automate management of many multitenant databases across your enterprise. Learn how to manage and administer many Oracle Database 21c Multitenant PDBs using Enterprise Manager. In this workshop create Pluggable Databases (PDBs), remove them from an Oracle Database and perform Multitenant PDB administration (open, close, unplug and plug-in PDBs).

  • Provision a Pluggable Database (PDB)
  • Remove PDBs from CDB
  • Plug PDBs into CDB
  • Close and open PDBs
  • Familiar with local shell environments and commands (bash, c shell, etc.)
  • Comfortable executing commands in SQL prompt
  • Comfortable with web browsers
  • Familiarity with Oracle Database is desirable, but not required
  • Some understanding of database terms is helpful
