Oracle Database 23ai introduces a suite of powerful new Vector Database capabilities, including support for Vectors to store generative Al embedding models, Al Vector Similarity Search and powerful new AI Indexes. All these features are key to enabling RAG with your database data.
This workshop will show you how easy it is to create and use Vector embedding using Java.
You can choose from a variety of embedding models, including Cohere, and Open AI.

  • Familiarity with Database is desirable, but not required.
  • A working knowledge of Java / JDBC
  • The AI Vector Search- Basics workshop provides a useful primer on Vector Search

In case running the lab in your own tenancy

  • OCI tenancy to create VM
  • Access to pre-configured marketplace image to deploy VM 

No pre-requisite for Stand-box environment
