Oracle Data Safe supports you to evaluate database configurations and security controls, assess user security, monitor user activity, mitigate risk from SQL injection or compromised accounts and address data security compliance requirements for your database by evaluating the sensitivity of your data as well as masking sensitive data for non-production databases. This workshop guides you through the main features in Oracle Data Safe, including Security Assessment, User Assessment, Data Discovery, Data Masking, Activity Auditing, Alerts, and SQL Firewall.

  • Assess the security of your database configurations and database users using Oracle Data Safe
  • Discover and mask sensitive data on your target database using Oracle Data Safe
  • Collect and monitor audit data in Oracle Data Safe to inform you of database activity
  • Create and enforce a SQL Firewall policy to protect your target database from common database attacks like SQL injection
  • Basic understanding of database concepts is required
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and IAM is helpful
