About This Workshop
With Oracle Data Safe you can protect all your Oracle databases, including Oracle databases running on-premises and on compute.
To connect to your databases, Data Safe offers two connectivity options: the Data Safe on-premises connector as well as the Data Safe private endpoint.
The private endpoint can be used for databases running in a private virtual cloud network (VCN) in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or for your databases running outside of OCI if you have a FastConnect or VPNConnect configured between your network and OCI.
The on-premises connector is used when you want to connect to an Oracle database running outside of OCI and you don't have FastConnect or VPNConnect established.
In this workshop you learn how to register your Oracle databases in Data Safe using both connectivity options. Once registered, you can leverage the 'Get Started with Oracle Data Safe Fundamentals' LiveLab to try out the main features in Data Safe.
