About This Workshop
Oracle Database developers can easily turbocharge their productivity by taking advantage of AI Assist technologies. This lab will show how you can easily use OCI's Code Assist platform to work directly against your Oracle Database using our MCP server (Oracle SQLcl).

Imagine being able to have a conversation with the database, gain insight on your data, get help optimizing your SQL code, easily adding new columns to your tables, all from your favorite AI chatbot or AI enabled IDE. This is now possible for any Oracle Database with our MCP server provided by SQLcl.

Combine this with OCI's Code Assist platform, which has already been trained and optimized for Java, PL/SQL, and application development on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - and you have everything you need to be a cloud native database developer on OCI.

This lab will show you how to setup your development environment for an Oracle Database using AI Code Assist via Oracle SQLcl's MCP server. From there we will guide you along the complete application development lifecycle, ending with a working web application.
