This workshop gets you started with Oracle Database Administration using Oracle Enterprise Manager (Oracle EM). You will first view details of Container Database, next start up Oracle EM, and add and remove target databases and listeners in Oracle EM. You will also access Container Database (CDB) and Pluggable Database (PDB) from Oracle EM.

  • Container Database and Pluggable Database homepage
  • Familiar with local shell environments (bash, c shell, etc.)
  • Comfortable executing commands in a local shell
  • Comfortable with web browsers
  • Familiarity with Oracle Database is desirable, but not required
  • Some understanding of database terms is helpful
